Seriously?

I don't know what you're grasping from the image but it seems to me, the rigorous APEX selection was more of a success in convening some hundred racist twats instead of bright open-minded unified bunch of students. FAIL. It's so unnecessary, this group - especially when a HBP 09/10 group already exists. And these people are the apparent leaders of the future. Haih, good luck lah Malaysia.

I understand how racist this bunch of students are. I thought it is some kind of Chinese association of USM but it is not, LOL. But I wish to point out that there is a Kelab UMNO Australia Melbourne (KUAM), but no Kelab MCA or MIC Australia or what-so-ever.
Out of Malaysian organizations in Australia, there are a lot of organizations set up solely for Malay muslims, but none specify Malaysian Chinese or Malaysian Indians or Sarawkian or Sabahan groups exist here.
I see this as an act of marginalising the non-bumis as we try to get along with our Malay friends but there is only one or 2 Malaysian organizations that include us----but of course we also understand that it is necessary to have a religious organization to hold religious functions at the right time. But apparently, I discovered actually the Malaysian organizations that includes non-bumi are also doing the same thing.
And the non-bumiputra Malaysian students accept it as it is. And also, I hate the fact that we are constantly reminded that we are still non-bumis among the Malaysians even though we are studying overseas. How sad is this.
I love reading your blog because you are intelligent. I will still do so. This comment is a thought of mine and I hope you don't take it as something offensive. If you do, I apologize, dengan setulus hati.
Cheers,

"bright open-minded.." haha... u slowly wait laa...
Mlle: I definitely see where you're coming from. Point here is that, it's happening and everyone does it. I wasn't on a mission to single out the Chinese or something in this post. The fact that it's rampant and done with flagrant at a tender age (they're only 18-20 year olds), I might say is somewhat alarming.
From personal experience though, I only see this plague escalate in public universities cause when I was in UCSI which was a private uni, the Malays joined the Chinese and Japanese clubs while the Chinese had no qualms in joining the Malay clubs. Vice versa too with other cultural clubs. They helped out during Ramadhan bazaars even. But I'm pretty sure the racist portion still exist, just not as obvious.
It's sad really even when the government has implemented this futile(imho) 1Malaysia attempt of getting people together and the plentiful ads prancing on tele, the more we part ways. Polarizing isn't the way to go, and everyone is at fault, be it the Malays or the Chinese or the Indians. I want to have faith that the nation would turn over a new leaf and develop rational mentalities. But eh, I'm seemingly losing hope.
Quin: Your "haha..." paired with the smiley profile picture of yours came off cynical that it got a bit scary for me! Did I say something wrong?
Can I just post an audio of my deep, insightful laugh here?
If the parents never brought the children up to mingle with others of different races and religions, this is what happens.
SJKs should be abolished - you don't see Asian Americans lose their cultural heritage just because they speak English and study in normal schools.
Without SJKs, the future generation will learn how to live with one another without looking at one's race nor religion.
whtever it is...malay, indians or chinese...i bloody well hate racism. its just so damn stupid man...that is WHY our country is so weak. racism makes me angry evrytime. its just so...well..thoughtless la. aiya dunno la how to say.pple should just put aside insecurities and start working together instead of worrying about their own race.
